Community Involvement

State College of Beauty Culture has set a goal to become an active part in our community.  Attending numerous events in the business arena along with supporting several non-profit's such as the Boys & Girls Club, YWCA, and Women in Action are just a few of the many that we have enjoyed supporting.

YWCA and the Boys & Girls Club bring in students for services and tours several times a year, which allows SCBC the opportunity to educate these children about the beauty industry, our school and future career possibilities. Our Educators also participate in area school Career Days, CIA Days, and Junior Achievement. As guest speakers we discuss and share information on business opportunities, personal finance and money management.

The future of our community starts with the children. SCBC has also made it part of our mission to educate our students, staff and clients on  the "Fill-A-Back" pack program  where supplies are collected and distributed to children  whom are unable to acquire school supplies on their own. 

February and October are two months we focus on fundraising.  We raise money and supplies for the Women's Community Shelter and for Breast Cancer Awareness. Locks of Love have been a part of our October fundraiser where we encourage the public to donate hair so wigs can be made for people who have lost their hair while battling cancer. All proceed go to the local Susan G. Komen foundation.

SCBC is proud to serve our community and the surrounding areas!
