Hi!  My name is Lisa Kraemer.  I am the Esthetic Instructor here at State College of Beauty Culture.

I have an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety from Milwaukee Area Technical College and received my Esthetics training at Martin’s College in Appleton.  I was the first esthetician in the area where I live and worked at a salon/spa doing facials, body wraps, ear candling, spray tanning, waxing, sugaring and makeup.  I worked hard to build my clientele.

In 2006 I started my own consulting company.  I have the privilege to travel Wisconsin and do consulting work for salon’s and spas.  It’s a great opportunity and a way to meet some amazing people.  I also was very interested in mineral makeup for my clients, friends and family.  After a lot of research I decided to begin selling makeup.

I decided I needed another challenge.  I started at the State College of Beauty Culture in 2008 where I received my Instructor’s license.  The esthetics program is an amazing field to be in!  You learn so much in such a short amount of time.

Since at SCBC my career has grown by leaps and bounds!  I have had the opportunity to get the school approved for the continued education classes required by the state of Wisconsin and start two new courses, the Manager’s and Instructor’s course.  In 2010 I began helping admissions out when needed.  It is a new challenge and fun to meet prospective students!

In 2008 I wrote an article for Skin Inc magazine and it was published.  The article was on How to keep your Clientele.  That was a fun adventure because English was never my strong point in school! What I have found out is if you are dedicated and passionate about your career the possibilities are endless!

In 2010 I was one of the few chosen by the State of Wisconsin to give training on safety and sanitation, infection control and blood borne pathogens at two summits held in Madison and Milwaukee.

In 2011 I decided to take the next leap in my career and open my own esthetic business.  It’s a new adventure and I am so glad I did it!

My passion for the industry continues to grow because there are endless possibilities for success.  I strive each day to accomplish all the esthetic field has to offer and encourage my students and peers to do the same. Where else can you help clients gain self esteem, build relationships and continue to learn?
