Hi, my name is Michelle Klatt and I am a new instructor at the State College of Beauty Culture.  I recently completed the requirements to earn my license as an instructor.  I currently hold licenses as a practitioner since 2005 and my manager’s license since 2010. I also hold a   Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders.  I worked in the salon for 5 years before joining the SCBC team. I get so excited when students take what they’ve learned and run with it. 

My passion for making people look beautiful has now grown into a passion for teaching these technical skills to students; so they can be successful in this industry.  I strive each day to help my students gain confidence and strength in their technical abilities.  I have attended master color and cutting classes and love sharing my knowledge with others.

I plan to continue my education in this industry to become a master educator.  I have traveled many different career paths before joining this industry, and have found it is my true calling.  Making people feel beautiful is a very powerful thing, and teaching students the skills to achieve this is even more powerful.  I am a positive “glass half full” type of person and my philosophy is “there are no MISTAKES only DISCOVERIES”.
