I entered the beauty industry in the mid-eighties after attending UW-LaCrosse for a year and a half. I realized that the beauty industry was my true passion. After graduation from beauty school, I spent 10 years in the salon, behind the chair. I managed up to 5 salons at one time. I was also a regional educator and human resource director for a chain of 16 salons.
In 1996 I was approached by my employer about the opportunity to manage and operate the beauty school in Wausau. On January 27, 1997 the purchase was official and my position and passion shifted to educating the best entry level stylists and in later years nail technicians and estheticians the beauty industry has to offer.
After realizing that salon business and school business are two completely different animals, my employers gave my husband and I the opportunity of a lifetime. August 1, 1999 marked the most current chapter in my professional career as a school owner.
Since purchasing the beauty school we have expanded three times and now own the building we currently reside in. I love this industry and am so honored to work with all of the wonderful people that join this amazing industry.
